I am a graduate of The Massachusetts Institute for Therapeutic Massage in Burlington, Massachusetts and have been practicing since March of 2007.  I am trained in Swedish, Trigger Point Therapy, and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and Kinesio Taping, as well as level 2 Reiki, but my passion is John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release. I began my MFR journey in the fall of 2015, and never looked back!

I have successfully completed the below Myofascial Release coursework with John F. Barnes and his skilled staff. "MFR" , as it is referred to, is genuine healing of the highest caliber. See my modalities page for more information.

MFR practitioners repeat courses to keep us in what John Barnes calls "channel 3", our feeling part of our bodies, rather than "channel 5", our thinking part of our brains. We also repeat because there is always more to gain from a class on a second, third or fourth time around. Repeating a course, gives a practitioner greater insights, refines our touch, and refines our techniques.

I am also now a study group leader. If you have taken MFR 1, please feel free to inquire about attending a session.


WHAT TO EXPECT...

After taking a brief medical history, discussing your goals with you, and assessing your needs, I will customize a unique, therapeutic session to help you reduce stress, increase circulation, relieve sore muscles, decrease pain, and improve your overall range of motion.

Please refrain from using oils or lotions prior to your session. Please also refrain from the use of heavy perfumes.

ATTIRE: Gentlemen should wear loose or stretchy shorts or boxers. Ladies please wear or bring a two piece swimsuit, or yoga shorts and a sports bra.
